DevOps Engineer

Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled DevOps Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will work to improve our development and deployment processes, enhancing the efficiency of our software development lifecycle. This role requires collaboration with various teams to implement automation and streamline operations, ensuring high availability and performance of our systems.

Top Secret Clearance(TS/SCI) is a requirement for this position. There are two openings:

1) Mclean, VA - requires TS/SCI with CI Poly clearance. 

2) Ft. Meade, MD - requires TS/SCI with Full-Scope Poly preferred, but not required. There is an Ansible coding challenge for the Ft. Meade opportunity, if you are able to complete it, FSP is not required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and manage scalable cloud infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Automate deployment processes using Ansible and custom scripts.
  • Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues across various environments.
  • Collaborate with development teams to optimize application performance and reliability.
  • Manage version control using GIT, ensuring code integrity and collaboration among teams.
  • Implement containerization and orchestration using Kubernetes.
  • Develop and maintain REST APIs to integrate various services and applications.
  • Utilize Kickstart/PXE booting for automated server provisioning.
  • Maintain and manage Dell Servers and OpenManage Enterprise for hardware monitoring and management.
  • Ensure compliance with security standards including STIGs/FIPS and implement necessary controls.

Qualifications

  • TS/SCI clearance is required.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in DevOps or related roles.
  • Strong experience with Ansible for automation and configuration management is required.
  • Proficiency in GIT for version control and collaboration.
  • Hands-on experience with Kubernetes for container orchestration.
  • Familiarity with Python for scripting and automation tasks.
  • Experience with REST APIs for service integration.
  • Solid understanding of networking concepts and principles.
  • Experience with Kickstart/PXE booting and server provisioning.
  • Familiarity with Dell Servers and OpenManage Enterprise.
  • Knowledge of custom Ansible modules and Full Stack Development is a plus.
  • Experience with Jinja2 templating engine for configuration management.
