Location: Open to either fully REMOTE or HYBRID (Sacramento)

Skills: A minimum of 3 years dedicated Employment Law experience (defense is ideal but we're also open to plaintiffs' attorneys looking to make a switch to defense)

Salary: Base pay 160-200k for 1440 billable hours - salary can be negotiated up or down based on what billable hours you prefer.  Package also includes bonus and benefits including 100% paid healthcare!


Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Attorney to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will specialize in Employment Law and Civil Litigation, with a strong understanding of California Law. This role focuses on providing legal guidance and support to clients on various employment-related matters, ensuring compliance with applicable laws, and representing clients in litigation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide legal advice and guidance on employment law issues to clients
  • Represent clients in civil litigation cases related to employment disputes
  • Conduct legal research and draft legal documents, including pleadings and motions
  • Manage complex litigation cases from inception to resolution
  • Advise clients on compliance with wage and hour laws, HR consulting, and employment regulations
  • Assist in investigations, audits, and employee management issues including terminations
  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships through effective communication and exceptional client service
  • Collaborate with team members to strategize case approaches and solutions

Qualifications

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
  • Active license to practice law in California
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in Employment Law and Civil Litigation
  • Strong understanding of California employment laws and regulations
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Detail-oriented with strong writing and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines effectively
  • Proactive approach to legal challenges and client needs
