Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled Estimator to join our team, specializing in public works and commercial projects on Long Island. The Estimator will play a crucial role in preparing accurate bids and cost estimates for ground-up construction projects, ensuring we remain competitive and profitable while meeting client expectations.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for public works and commercial construction projects.
Analyze blueprints and drawings to determine project requirements and material costs.
Utilize On Screen Takeoff (OST) software to perform quantity takeoffs and assess labor costs.
Develop and manage bid packages to submit to clients and subcontractors.
Collaborate with project managers and engineers to review project specifications and identify potential risks and cost-saving opportunities.
Monitor changes in project scope and adjust estimates accordingly.

Qualifications

3+ Years' experience as an Estimator in the construction industry, with a focus on Public Works & Commercial Projects
Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and costs.
Proficiency in On Screen Takeoff (OST) software or similar estimating tools.
Excellent mathematical and analytical skills for precise cost calculations.
Strong communication and negotiation skills to work effectively with clients and subcontractors.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
