Fire Protection Engineer

Position Overview
The Fire Protection Engineer is responsible for designing and implementing fire protection systems that ensure the safety and compliance of buildings and facilities. This role involves conducting hazard analyses, risk assessments, and collaborating with various stakeholders to create effective fire protection strategies.

Key Responsibilities

Design fire protection systems in accordance with industry standards and regulations.
Conduct hazard analysis and risk management assessments to identify potential fire risks.
Consult on accessibility and safety measures to promote inclusivity in fire safety designs.
Collaborate with other engineering disciplines and clients to ensure comprehensive safety solutions.
Perform forensic investigations related to fire incidents to improve future safety measures.
Participate in emergency management planning and training.
Provide guidance on fire alarm and mass notification systems design and implementation.
Stay updated on digital innovations and trends in fire protection engineering.
Engage in mentorship and team development activities to promote professional growth within the team.
Maintain strong client relationships through effective communication and project management.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Fire Protection Engineering or related field.
Professional engineering license is required.
Experience with fire protection system design and code consulting.
Strong knowledge of industry standards and regulatory agencies related to fire safety.
Demonstrated experience in risk management and hazard analysis.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
