Senior MEP Cost Manager

Position Overview
The Senior MEP Cost Manager will be responsible for overseeing the cost management of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) projects. This role focuses on ensuring that projects are completed within budget while maintaining quality and compliance with all relevant codes and standards.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and maintain cost estimates for MEP systems including HVAC, plumbing, and electrical.
Conduct quantity takeoffs and prepare detailed cost breakdowns for project bids.
Manage cost control processes throughout the project lifecycle to ensure adherence to budgets.
Collaborate with project managers and stakeholders to provide accurate financial forecasts and updates.
Analyze construction documents to identify potential cost-saving opportunities and enhance value engineering efforts.
Prepare and review bid proposals, ensuring clarity and competitiveness in pricing.
Communicate effectively with clients to address concerns and provide updates on project cost status.
Utilize software such as Revit and AutoCAD for accurate modeling and cost estimation.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
Minimum of 7 years of experience in MEP cost management or a similar role.
Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems.
Proficient in cost estimation, quantity takeoff, and project management methodologies.
Familiarity with building codes and construction regulations.
Experience with value engineering practices and project scheduling.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for client interactions.
