Requirements: 5+ years' of related Concrete Estimating experience for both public and private protects

We are a rapidly growing general contractor with over 40 years of history, a full backlog for 2+years focusing on public, commercial, institutional, industrial, and private projects. We self perform all things concrete in house and are looking to add another senior estimator to the team with proven experience procuring projects in the private and public sector. We believe in working together, combining our knowledge across the company to create a cohesive plan that then will be implemented successfully for our clients. As we are expanding our in house concrete division we need to bring on another strong senior concrete estimator .

What You Will Be Doing

- Attend pre-bid meetings
- Prepare Comprehensive bids for construction projects over $20 mil
- Preconstruction Assignments (project scope, budgeting, cost, present estimates to clients/team)
- Maintaining subcontractor records
- Conduct site visits to determine project parameters
- Identify right subcontractors for projects based on region, project type/scope, and monitor bid status
- Organize and review drawings and details, takeoff's, RFI's
- Calculate labor estimates and determine applicable in-house trade labor rates
-Hold in-house pre-bid meetings prior to large public bids and delegate bid day duties
-Prepare clear, concise and accurate bid proposals for various private projects
- Assist with initial project set-up with project manager; interact with project management through life of projects pertaining to specific task calculation and unforeseen project developments

What You Need for this Position

- Bachelors Degree in related field or equivalent work experience
- 10+ Years self performing concrete estimating experience
- 5+ years with curb, sidewalk, gutter, architectural paving, retaining walls, tilt walls, structural, stemwall, spread footings, structural suspended slabs etc.
- Proven experience landing work in both the private and public market
- Strong computer skills in Excel, Word, Microsoft Project, and Outlook
