Position Overview
The Superintendent for Higher Education is responsible for overseeing construction projects within the higher education sector, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. This role involves coordinating with various stakeholders, managing on-site teams, and maintaining compliance with safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee all phases of construction projects from pre-construction through completion within the higher education sector.
Manage daily on-site operations and ensure that the project is progressing as per the schedule.
Coordinate with architects, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure alignment with design drawings and project specifications.
Implement and enforce safety protocols in compliance with OSHA standards to maintain a safe work environment.
Conduct regular inspections to monitor progress and quality of work, addressing any issues that arise promptly.
Utilize project management software, including Procore and MS Project, to track project milestones and budgets.
Prepare and present progress reports to stakeholders, ensuring clear communication throughout the project's lifecycle.
Assist in the development of project schedules utilizing P6 and monitor adherence to timelines.

Qualifications

Proven experience as a Superintendent in healthcare or commercial construction, particularly in higher education and life sciences.
Strong knowledge of construction processes, techniques, and safety standards.
Familiarity with design drawings and construction management (CM) projects.
Proficiency in project management software (Procore, MS Project, P6) and design tools (AutoCAD, Bluebeam).
Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work under pressure.
Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field is preferred.
