SVOA Lab Analyst in Santa Ana, CA

Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Laboratory Analyst to join our Semi-Volatiles team. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills and a commitment to delivering high-quality environmental services. This role involves conducting GC-MS analysis and supporting various projects related to environmental planning and sustainability solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct GC-MS, GC-ECD, or GC-FID analysis on semi-volatile compounds
Perform data review and report assembly for project requirements
Maintain and calibrate laboratory instruments to ensure compliance with analytical methods
Assist in the preparation of standard solutions and samples
Participate in quality control procedures and lab practices
Provide mentorship to junior analysts and staff
Collaborate with engineers, scientists, and policy experts to support client decision-making
Facilitate a fast-paced laboratory environment while multitasking and managing supply needs
Ensure adherence to lab safety and compliance standards

Qualifications

BA/BS in science or a related field
Experience with GC-MS, GC-ECD, or GC-FID analysis and semi-volatile compounds
Strong attention to detail and analytical methods knowledge
Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment
Excellent decision-making and problem-solving skills
Familiarity with environmental services and sustainability practices
