Position Overview
We are seeking a knowledgeable and experienced Trust & Estates Attorney to join our team in our Syracuse, NY office. As a member of our firm you will provide expert legal guidance to clients on estate planning, trusts, and wealth transfer, ensuring that their assets are protected and efficiently managed throughout their lifetime and beyond.

Key Responsibilities

Advise clients on estate planning strategies, including wills and trusts.
Assist clients with asset protection and wealth transfer planning.
Draft legal documents such as trusts, wills, and powers of attorney.
Provide guidance on elder law issues and long-term care planning.
Represent clients in estate litigation matters
Assist in business succession planning and charitable gift planning.
Collaborate with financial planners for comprehensive retirement planning solutions.
Ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations to maximize tax efficiencies.
Manage guardianship proceedings

Qualifications

Juris Doctor
Active license to practice in NY
3+ years of experience in Trusts and Estates law
Strong understanding of estate planning, elder law, and related legal principles.
Proficient in legal research and document drafting.
Experience in estate litigation is a plus.
