Accounting Supervisor
Position Overview
We are nation-wide restaurant group that is looking to bring on an Accounting Manager. They will oversee the daily operations of the accounting department, ensuring compliance with GAAP standards and efficient management of financial records. This role is critical in supporting the financial health of our organization, particularly within the restaurant and service industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and mentor the accounting team to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
- Manage the month-end close process, ensuring all transactions are recorded and financial statements are prepared accurately.
- Oversee the general ledger activities, including reconciliations and adjustments as necessary.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal policies in all accounting practices.
- Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts, providing insights and analysis.
- Collaborate with other departments to support operational goals and financial objectives.
- Provide training and guidance on accounting principles and procedures to staff.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 5+ years of accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and accounting principles.
- Experience in the restaurant or service industry is a must!
- Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent leadership and management skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
