Insurance Defense Attorney

Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled Insurance Defense Attorney to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will possess expertise in insurance defense litigation and be responsible for managing a diverse caseload involving personal injury, construction defects, and commercial trucking matters. This position aims to provide exceptional legal representation to our clients while ensuring effective case management and strategic litigation.

Key Responsibilities

Represent clients in insurance defense litigation cases
Conduct legal research and prepare legal memoranda
Negotiate settlements on behalf of clients
Draft pleadings, motions, and other legal documents
Prepare for and conduct depositions and trial preparations
Manage discovery processes, including document review and production
Conduct site inspections and coordinate with expert witnesses
Perform court appearances and represent clients in litigation
Collaborate with clients and consultants to develop case strategies
Utilize cloud-based document management systems for case organization

Qualifications

Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
Active New York Bar License required, New Jersey is preferred
Minimum 3 years of experience in insurance defense litigation
Strong knowledge of personal injury, construction, and commercial trucking law
Proven trial experience and familiarity with court procedures
Excellent analytical and legal research skills
Superior writing and organization skills
Ability to prioritize tasks and manage a diverse caseload
Strong communication skills and ability to learn quickly
Demonstrated initiative and ability to work independently
Experience with technology and paperless document management systems
