Lateral Partner - Tax

Position Overview
One of the most prestigious firms in the country is seeking an experienced Lateral Partner in Tax to join our esteemed law firm. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in tax law and be responsible for providing expert legal guidance to our clients while developing and leading our tax practice.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the tax practice area, including advising clients on complex tax matters.
  • Develop and implement strategic initiatives to grow the tax practice and enhance client relationships.
  • Provide expert legal advice on federal and state tax issues, as well as assist with tax audits and litigation when necessary.
  • Collaborate with other practice areas within the firm to provide comprehensive legal services to clients.
  • Mentor and support junior attorneys in their professional development and expertise in tax law.

Qualifications

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
  • Extensive experience in tax law, with a proven track record in a law firm or corporate legal environment.
  • Master of Laws (LL.M.) in Taxation or related field is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of federal and state tax regulations.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
