Payroll & HR Specialist
Position Overview
The Payroll & HR Specialist will be responsible for managing payroll processes and providing HR support to ensure compliance with company policies and legal regulations. This role plays a crucial part in maintaining employee records, processing payroll, and assisting with human resource administration and benefits management.
Key Responsibilities
Payroll
Collect and enter all timesheets into Viewpoint to facilitate processing payroll.
Input hourly timesheet data into Gusto to generate payroll checks/direct deposit payments.
Facilitate paid time off requests into payroll.
Certified payroll reports, as required.
First Source reporting for DC.
Facilitate processing various insurance/benefits related documents.
Monitor and resolve payroll discrepancies, investigating and resolving issues promptly and accurately.
HR
Facilitate processing of new hires as it relates to obtain required government documents, pre-employment physicals and internal forms.
Facilitate close out procedures for departing employees, including termination of benefits with providers.
Ensuring confidentiality of employee information.
Keep up with critical employment laws such as OSHA, HIPAA, FMLA, among others by attending seminars and webinars.
Facilitate communications between employees and insurance provider to manage injury claims.
Address employee concerns, mediate disputes, and foster a positive work environment.
Implement strategies to improve employee engagement and retention.
