Job Overview:
Are you an experienced software/firmware developer passionate about creating innovative solutions? We're seeking a driven individual to enhance existing software and develop new applications for supply chain automation clients. Located in the Allentown/Easton, PA area, this role offers the opportunity to make an immediate impact while working on exciting projects in warehouse automation. The Software/Firmware Developer will play a critical role in ensuring our clients have the most relevant and efficient warehouse automation software solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop software solutions using relevant programming languages (see qualifications below).
- Create and implement robust testing environments to ensure software quality and reliability.
- Identify areas for improvement in existing programs and design software modifications to address those areas.
- Collaborate with the Software Team to enhance products, resolve issues, and achieve goals.
- Maintain high-quality standards in software development, meeting Quality Assurance benchmarks.
- Document software development processes thoroughly, contributing to system quality assurance and project tracking.
- Achieve development goals and meet deadlines efficiently.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of relevant work experience in software/firmware development.
- Proficiency in object-oriented programming and web application technologies such as JSON, ASP.Net, and Angular.
- Expertise in programming languages including C#, C, and C++.
- Comprehensive knowledge of the Microsoft .NET framework and .NET Core.
- Experience with MS WinForms user interface development.
- Skilled in Microsoft Visual Studio and SQL Server, including SQL command language.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in firmware development.
- Background in PLC development (Allen Bradley preferred).
- Familiarity with motion control and socket-based communication protocols is a plus.
Travel Requirements:
- Approximately 20% overnight travel (all travel expenses covered).
- Must possess a valid driver's license with a clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).
