Established (200+ Years Combined) Law Firm Seeking Litigation Associate in NYC
An established firm with amore than 200 years of combined history and a strong Northeast presence is seeking a Defense Litigation Associate with 3+ years of experience to join their team in NYC. This associate will focus on New York State Labor Law and personal injury defense litigation, working within a nationally recognized Mass Torts and Industry-Wide Litigation practice.
Offer:
$135,000 - $175,000 salary contingent on experience
Hybrid remote opportunity available

Qualifications:
3+ years of New York State Labor Law and personal injury defense litigation experience
Juris Doctorate from an ABA-accredited law school
Admission to the New York Bar required
Admission to Connecticut, Massachusetts, and/or New Jersey (or ability to waive into NJ) preferred but not required
Experience before NYS courts required; federal experience is a plus
Strong experience with depositions, motions, pleadings, and e discovery
Responsibilities:
Conduct legal research on Labor Law and personal injury issues and collaborate on defense strategies
Take and defend depositions
Manage discovery and e discovery
Draft legal memoranda, pleadings, discovery demands/responses, motions, and briefs
Participate in trial ADR planning and preparation
Represent clients at courtroom conferences and motion appearances
Oversee day-to-day aspects of Labor Law and personal injury files under supervision
Maintain a minimum of 1,900 billable hours annually
